MY PLAN AS THE GRAND KEEPER OF RECORDS
AND SEAL
As a committed Brother with proven experience serving as Keeper of Records and Seal on the undergraduate, graduate, and District levels, I bring a clear and strategic plan to elevate the office at the Grand level. My campaign is built on a foundation of tested leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the Fraternity's records, systems, and traditions—ensuring that our administrative legacy is preserved with precision, transparency, and pride.
I have served Omega faithfully for 30+ financial years. I have been a steadfast worker from my first days in Omega up until today. My many accomplishments are a testament to my devotion and commitment to the ideals of our great Fraternity. I have been blessed to hold positions of leadership at every level of our great fraternity. The following are a couple of philosophies that I live by:
- I WILL ALWAYS PLACE BROTHERHOOD FIRST!!!
- I believe in doing things the right way the first time.
- I believe in doing what works and not getting caught up in frivolous processes.
- I don't believe in wasting time and energy or in just going through the motions.
- I believe anything that we do as brothers, should have tangible results and meet some overriding goal.
- I believe in listening and seeking wise counsel.
- I believe in being consistent in everything that I do.
- I believe in being straightforward and keeping it 100!
Why I am passionate about this position
It is my belief that we can always improve how we operate in Omega. I believe that if elected, it will be my job to first perform the duties prescribed in our District and National bylaws to the best of my ability. Over the past few years, I have considered myself one of the hardest working brothers in all of Omega.
For the years that we served as a DDPR, I tried to give the brotherhood a product that they could be proud of and help show Omega in a positive light. Hopefully, I left the position better than where I had found it.
As a DKRS, we were able to improve a large number of our processes and helped facilitated our most successful Conclave attendance and District meeting participation at the time.
As a DKF, we restored the faith of the brothers in how the District funds are managed. I made many innovations and automated allow of our financial process cutting reimbursement times from months to days.
As a First Vice DR, we helped each committee grow and removed barriers to becoming a committee member. All brothers were encouraged to join a committee and we were able to create the Brotherhood committee that focused on supporting the brotherhood and their families. We were able to introduce the first district wide Reclamation incentive program which allowed the Ninth District to lead the fraternity in every category. We provided for the first time in the fraternity a death benefit to help support brother's families in their time of need.
As a District Representative, we helped make the Mighty Ninth one of the best and well respected districts in the fraternity. We lead in Reclamation, UG participation, year-to-year growth, St. Jude and programs that support the brothers and their families such as:
- Undergraduate to Graduate Stipend ($200)
- Death Benefit ($500)
- UG Insurance Subsidy ($500)
- Mental Health Hotline
- Brothers Children Scholarships ($1000+)
- Emergency Assistance Programs
- Free Health Screenings
I know the brothers who have held this position in previous years worked hard but I believe my unique perspective on improvement and innovation will allow me to expand upon and increase the effectiveness of the GKRS position.
I promise you that, if elected, I will aim to be the best Grand Keeper of Records and Seal in Omega. Brothers, I also believe that I can bring more than just good ideas to the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal position, but I can help foster innovative thinking and bring a brotherly spirit to our Supreme council and help us continue to move this great Fraternity forward.
I believe that I possess the skills required to be successful in this position and I use many of these skills on a daily basis in my current occupation. What is required of the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal is what I do every day. By trade, I'm a technical project manager and often my primary focus is to figure out how to make things better or more efficient and enhance collaboration between different groups and individuals. I am adept at creating processes and procedures that are easy to comprehend and follow. They call me when a project needs a boost or a severe problem needs to be solved. I face resistance to change every day; but the key is convincing the team that any proposed changes are for the greater good of the organization. Remember that the most effective team leaders build their relationships on trust and loyalty, rather than by fear or the power of their positions.
